Here are the steps to take a screenshot using PrtScn key.
Step 1. Open the image or screen you want to capture, and then press the PrtScn key located at the top right corner of the keyboard.
Step 2. With this option, you can copy the whole screen and paste it in apps like MS Paint for changes. These tools have features to improve the screenshot, and you can use shortcuts like Ctrl + V in Windows to paste the content.
You can use PrtScn with other keys for various functions. Here are the alternatives:
Alt key + PrtScn: Press the Alt key (found at the bottom left, near the Windows key) along with PrtScn to copy the active window. Follow Step #2 mentioned before to paste the copied content into tools and make changes.
Windows key + PrtScn: This combination captures the whole screen and saves the screenshot as an image in the Pictures -> Screenshots folder. Locate the Screenshots folder under the Pictures library.
Windows has a cool feature called the "Snipping Tool" that lets you take a screenshot of a specific part of the current window. Let's check out how to use this tool.
Step 1. To locate the Snipping Tool, click on the search icon and type "Snipping Tool." Alternatively, you can find it in the Start Menu under "All Programs" in the "Accessories" section.
Step 2. After opening the Snipping Tool, select "New.".
Step 3. Choose either Rectangular Snip or Free Snip by clicking on the dropdown menu under Mode.
Step 4. Once you've taken the screenshot, save it wherever you like. In the dropdown menu, you'll find two more options: Window Snip, which allows you to select a specific window, like a dialogue box, and Full-Screen Snip, which captures the whole screen.

Step 1. Press the Windows key and G simultaneously to open the Game bar. Customize Game bar settings by navigating to Settings > Windows Settings > Game Bar.
Step 2. Click "Yes, it is a game" on the dialogue box that appears.
Step 3. Use the camera button to capture a screenshot. The shortcut to access the camera is Windows key + Alt + PrtScn. The screenshot's location is quickly shown on the screen.
Step 4. Screenshots are saved in PNG format at the location C:\Users(Username)\Videos\Captures.
